New AGA Logo Revealed

At the 2024 AGA Annual Meeting, held at Phoenix Country Club on February 21, the new AGA logo was revealed.  The saguaro cactus is the centerpiece, as it is an icon of Arizona.  The tee was integrated into the center of the saguaro.  The 2 spines on the left of the cactus, together with the 3 spines on the right of the cactus represent the founding of the AGA in 1923.  The text is lower-case cursive demonstrating a traditional and playful style.  It is handwritten and imperfect - just like our golf game.  The cactus can be used alone as a vertical logo, while the text can also be used alone as a horizontal logo.

ABOUT US!

We welcome women golfers at all playing levels, encourage members to play with everyone in the league, and teach players how to follow the rules of golf while having fun on the course. Players pay $10 (to the prize fund) for each event in order to register.  Green and cart fees are paid at the time of the event to the pro shop. Most events are flighted and prize money is paid out (in the form of credit at the golf courses) based on net results to at least 50% of the field. The game for each event varies.  Most are individual play, but some are 2-person or 4-person teams.  Everything is designed for players to get to know people, learn more about the game and rules of golf, and have fun.  Ultimately, this should prepare a golfer to feel comfortable playing in any type of golf situation.
