Who We Are
The Working Women's Golf Association is a league
of amateur women golfers approved by the City of
Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and is
an 18-hole group. Our season runs from January
through December. We also enjoy membership to
the Arizona Women's Golf Association (AWGA),
which provides USGA handicapping services and
sponsors state-level events throughout the year.
Our annual dues are $45 per year which includes
the AWGA handicapping services.
What We Do
Our tournaments are scheduled once a month on a Sunday and rotate between the
five municipal courses (Aguila, Cave Creek, Encanto, Maryvale and Papago). The
cost of each tournament is $10 which is prepaid to a tournament contact prior to the
event. Green and cart fees are paid at the time of the tournament to the pro shop.
Each of our events is flighted into four handicap levels. “The game” for each
tournament varies, and flight winners receive “prize money” that is pooled and can be
used at any of our tournament sites for pro shop merchandise.
